We’re delighted to announce the opening of our second Lilian’s Room, now at The Wellbeing Square in Newhaven.
Following the opening of the first Lilian’s Room at Downs eight months ago, Lilian’s Room Lite brings the same supportive approach to another part of our community.
The “Lite” reflects a more compact version of the original Lilian’s Room, thoughtfully designed to provide the key tools and support people need to move safely, build confidence and stay active. Alongside power-assisted equipment, the space includes interactive technology such as a tablet and BlazePods to help make movement engaging, adaptable and accessible.
It is a calm, welcoming environment designed for gentle, low-impact exercise and can help bridge the gap between clinical rehabilitation and everyday movement , all at a pace that feels right for each person.
The space is designed to support people of all ages and abilities, including those living with long-term health conditions, recovering from illness or injury, or looking for a gentler way to improve mobility, independence and confidence.
The original Lilian’s Room was made possible thanks to the generosity of local resident Lilian, who kindly left a legacy gift to Wave Active. While living at a nearby care home, Lilian enjoyed taking part in our Health outreach sessions. Her legacy continues through these spaces, helping more people stay active, connected and independent.
Eight months after opening our first Lilian’s Room, we’re proud to bring Lilian’s Room Lite to Newhaven.
This special space has been made possible thanks to the generosity of a local resident, Lilian, who kindly left a legacy gift to Wave Active. While living at a nearby care home, Lilian enjoyed taking part in our Health outreach sessions, and in her memory, Lilian’s Room has been created to support active ageing, recovery, and independence.
