A major new chapter for health and wellbeing in Newhaven has begun with the official opening of The Wellbeing Square.
The new development brings together healthcare, physical activity and wellbeing services in one location, creating a modern, community-focused space designed to support local people at every stage of their health and wellbeing journey.
The opening marks an important milestone for Newhaven and reflects a shared commitment to making health, activity and support more accessible within the local community.
A partnership built around the community
The development has been made possible through close partnership working between Wave Active, the GP practice, the council and other organisations involved in bringing the project to life.
Wave Active CEO Duncan Kerr has worked closely with partners throughout the development of The Wellbeing Square, helping to shape a facility focused on the needs of Newhaven and the wider community.
The opening was also featured on BBC News, including an interview with Duncan, helping to shine a spotlight on the partnership behind the project and what the new development means for local residents.
A proud moment for Newhaven
The official opening is an exciting moment for everyone involved, but most importantly it represents a long-term investment in the health and wellbeing of the local community.
By bringing together healthcare, activity and wellbeing in one place, The Wellbeing Square aims to make it easier for people to take positive steps towards healthier and more active lives.
We would like to thank all of the partners, teams and members of the community who have contributed to making The Wellbeing Square a reality.
We are proud to be part of this next chapter for Newhaven and look forward to welcoming more people into the new space.
