Introducing Wave Active Digital Hub: a new digital showcase hub for Wave Active and local experiences
Wave Active Digital Hub has been created as a digital-first showcase platform designed to increase visibility of Wave Active facilities, memberships, activities and employment opportunities.
Located in the heart of the town, the space uses digital screens and interactive content to promote what Wave Active has to offer, helping more people discover ways to get active and improve their health and wellbeing.
Alongside this, Wave Active Digital Hub connects residents and visitors with a wider range of local activities, services and experiences. From sport and fitness to tourism and community opportunities, the space helps people explore what’s happening locally and how to get involved.

What You Can Discover at Clinton Place
Wave Active Digital Hub brings together Wave Active facilities, memberships, and opportunities alongside local activities and experiences — helping you discover what’s available and how to get involved.
Using digital screens and a simple, easy-to-use directory, you can explore what’s on offer locally and connect directly with providers.
Whether you’re looking to join a Wave Active Membership, try a new activity, explore watersports , hire a bike or simply find something new to do, the Hub makes it easy to discover and take the next step.
A Space That Will Grow
This is the first phase of the Wave Active Digital Hub, focused on awareness, engagement and promotion.
Over time, the space will continue to develop, with the potential to include booking opportunities, expanded partnerships and additional services to support both residents and visitors.
Bringing the Heart of Seaford to Life
The Wave Active Digital Hub is also home to the Heart of Seaford, a vibrant piece of artwork celebrating the people, places, activities and experiences that make Seaford such a special place to live, work and visit.
Located in the heart of the town, the Wave Active Digital Hub was created to connect residents and visitors with opportunities to get active, improve their wellbeing, discover local experiences and engage with their community. The mural reflects this vision, bringing together themes of movement, health, tourism, nature, local discovery and community spirit.
Inspired by Seaford’s coastal setting, community connections and active lifestyle, the artwork celebrates the experiences and opportunities that bring people together.
The mural was designed by local artist Alice Humphrey, whose work reflects the character, creativity and community spirit that make Seaford such a special place.
Speaking about the inspiration behind the mural, Alice said:
“From the outset, I wanted the mural to feel full of energy, movement and optimism. Rather than simply illustrating landmarks, I wanted to capture the feeling of Seaford, its coastline, open spaces, creativity and the sense of connection between the people who live, work and visit. The shapes, colours and figures celebrate movement and joy.
I wanted the mural to feel layered and rewarding to explore. Play has always been an important theme of my work, so I wanted the mural to encourage curiosity too, inviting people to notice new details and experience the artwork a little differently each time they see it. I hope it becomes something that people of all ages can enjoy, whether they’re seeing it for the first time or passing by every day.
The illuminated heart sits at the centre of the piece as a symbol of connection, community and wellbeing. Working closely with Wave Active, I wanted the mural to reflect the idea that a healthy, thriving community is built through the many small moments, activities and relationships that connect us every day.
Ultimately, I hope the mural becomes something people feel proud of, a colourful reminder of the energy, creativity and community that are a part of Seaford.”
As a local Charity with the vision, “to be at the heart of the improvement of health and wellbeing in the community” we felt it important to bring the mural to life with a beating heart. The heart itself relates to the things that matter most, i.e. life, health, love and home.
We hope that everyone is reminded of such things when returning to Seaford and for those of us, lucky to live in Seaford, we hope the heart signifies home, where your heart is……
As a trusted community partner, we’re proud to work collaboratively with local organisations to improve health and wellbeing outcomes through physical activity, social connection and community engagement. Together, we are helping to create a healthier, more connected community for everyone.
We would like to thank Alice for bringing this vision to life. Her creative interpretation of what makes Seaford unique has resulted in a landmark piece of artwork that reflects the heart of our town and will welcome residents and visitors for years to come.
To celebrate the completion of the mural, Wave Active officially unveiled the Heart of Seaford at the Wave Active Digital Hub.
As part of the event, the illuminated heartbeat was switched on for the very first time, bringing the Heart of Seaford to life and symbolising the energy, passion and community spirit that runs through our town and the people who make it such a wonderful place.
The unveiling brought together local partners, community members and supporters to celebrate not just a piece of artwork, but a shared vision for a healthier, more connected and thriving Seaford.
Together, we are the heartbeat of Seaford.
